Fortune Cookies

This new book and new haiku-form – the “Good-Fortune Haiku” – showcases 1301 “Fortune-Cookie-Couplets”; 400-favourite haikus; 78-Cookies about Christology; and 120-Latest Haiku, Tanka, Renga poems. Haiku's Japanese-Style poetic adapted for New-Zealanders and Western-Culture in general, appeals for its even greater simplicity as a haiku-form. My Kōun-Haiku is a sonnet of syllables, arranged in buddy-system form (of Tanka-style couplets)! The book has been a pure-recreation to write and compose, and I hope there will be a demand for more at some time in the near-future. Furthermore; because "bardic-spontaneity" was at-play throughout the work (even in restyling existing-material), the authentic-nature of haiku was invariably present – “Single-Breath” spontaneity captured and lived in the moment…is what the essence of haiku-composition was all-about – NZ-Kigo’ (season-words) adding beauty and ambiance to image and thought (with its kirejis synthesizing the whole) – Enjoy!
