New Zealand Born - A Discriminating View

ByChristopher Mark Piper

This sequel to "NZ-Born Vol.1 (A Catholic Perspective)" includes many poems cut from that original-work, deemed too-contentious or highly-philosophical in nature. Ironically, this included the title-poem "New-Zealand Born" itself. Thence; evolved the theme for Vol.2 - "A Discriminating View", which is intended to be ameliorative of truth in society! The opening chapter launches immediately into Education, as a revolutionary-tool employed by radicals to dumb-down and desensitize generations of young-adults, as it stands in Aotearoa-NZ and the world in general today. The object of the work became ultimately counter-revolutionary: the nature of simple sonnet treatises being such, that entire lessons or apologetic-summaries are able to be taught and discerned in a but a few telling words - This is the great power of (real) poetry: it can operate at many-levels, and is able to communicate much more than short (or even lengthy) discourses are able. This book's controversial-nature invites criticism!
