Skoti - An Unfinished Biography of the Unknown Soldier

"A good novel tells the truth about its hero; but a bad novel tells the truth about its author", proclaimed one of human-history's greatest wits. This author is not sure he has fulfilled this criterion - but the parts are the sum of the whole in this recollective journey from Conception to the present-moment. Embellishment of the truth and fidelity to general-histories to create a portrait of less hero, more "pathetic-hero" still soldiering-on and battling-through a somewhat less- embattled present-time life-trajectory...is what one hopes this novel biographical piece has achieved. While the vein of the writing is conversational, its storyline is, however, often interrupted by philosophical "asides" and spontaneous subject changes and diversions such as figure too-often in everyday conversations and life. But the object of discovering the true-nature and identity of the Unknown-Soldier, the SKOTI in all of us is not lost sight-of throughout.
