This 2nd Edition is newly organized into five areas. It begins with the Section called The 2023 “New” Leader of Managers and is a fresh look at the original “5 Phases” Model. Section One remains a broad discussion of the multi-unit Market in general, with a brief history of the growth of the multi-unit economy, and includes a new look at how the market has changed in ten years; Section Two tackles the multi-unit leader as an Individual; Section Three covers in greater detail the basic Organization of the multi-unit enterprise, and Section Four, as an Application, is a look into points of intersection between the individual and the organization. This application is meant to illustrate the transition necessary to move from being simply a manager to being a great manager who is also a great leader.
