The word “Circa” is a preposition used to define an approximate point in time. This zine is all about time. We women creating it are all a “certain” time in our lives—not old yet, but certainly not young. We look backwards fondly and look ahead with purpose and determination. We are not too old to dream. Circa is an approximate; not fixed. Our content will morph as we ourselves or our worlds change. Circa has been created by six friends. We were all born circa the 1960s and come from different backgrounds, interests and perspectives. We are regular people--writers, dreamers, mothers, daughters, sisters, friends...We are full of good intentions--and like everyone--not perfect. This quarterly reflects this. We write about things we like; things that are important to us. We write with hope that you will like this, our collaborative effort and that you will join us quarterly in what we like to think of as a "salon between covers". This issue has 10 more pages than the summer issue! Here's some of what you will read: Living by the Code of the West, Life in the 1930s, Love & Loss, Raising Confident and Contented Children, Urban Wildcrafting, Living Artfully.
