The purpose of A Diamond in the Rough is to engage Diamonds in a culture of social consciousness by exploring the interdependence of individual expression and collective progress. As a Hallmark of Citizen Schools success, A Diamond in the Rough Apprenticeship incorporated all components of the 21st Century Skills, with particular emphasis on Advanced Literacy and Teamwork. Students will be hereafter referred to as “Diamonds."
