The Word of Oblivion

Being the First Book of "The Fall of Covos". In the millenium-old Covusian Empire, the somber priests of the Mysteret rule with an iron fist; the days of sorcery and rebellion are long forgotten. Surely nothing could threaten Covos' supremacy - or so young Arach of Meltol thinks, as he sets out from the dark and remote forests of Clovenwood to seek his fortune in the teeming kingdoms of the south. But on this journey, he discovers that the world of Albor is still rife with myth and magic, with trolls and dryads, fire-breathing demons and talking crows, and other things secret and hidden. The darkest secret of all lies slumbering within him; it is the forgotten terror that left him an orphan, and robbed him of the memory of his true origin.
