In the early-1980s in a West Coast City, a mocking challenge was all it took to encourage Jeff Collins to embark on an outrageous plan of deceit. It was only a small point that he had to prove, but to stop afterwards would end the experiment. How much further could he push it? He had confidence in abundance but even he could not imagine how quickly he could entrap and mould. Success was a drug, and the next fix came by gambling for yet more.
Few people could do what he was doing; he had a special trait - a lack of conscience. The changing of the lives of his friends and followers could be excused.
Even so, how does a false messiah live with the fact that his existence is a lie and that every person who shows him love, does so only because of that lie?
The golden-robed body was carried through the city to its tomb. This was not the way it was supposed to be.
