This multi-layered story creates a world full of action, whimsy, and even the mystical. Tara and Silk both have a spiritual connection to the dramatic landscape surrounding Cumberland Falls in Kentucky. Their lives entwine in a dramatic story as Silk hires on as a Fire Tower summer intern at the state park where Tara is her supervisor. Both Silk and Tara are leading remarkably unbalanced lives. Silk never finds a boundary she cannot disregard. She follows inspiration into creativity and destruction alike. Tara lives by her boundaries. She is clear about what she wants in life and that life has formed around her. It is tightly woven and it is good, but she longs for more. If only Tara could hold Silk inside the structure of work and responsibility and Silk could show Tara how to open the door to inspiration, they could find the fulcrum of life…and this story would be a happy one.
