Socially Engaged Photography

This selection of photographers includes students from a broad range of the Columbia College Photography Department community. The students represent both Graduate Students (Baranski, Christoffer and Reblando) and Undergraduates. Slightly more than half of them (Abubeker, Blunden, Christoffer, Crenshaw and Reblando) are currently pursuing degrees. Jasmin Shah, a freelance photographer, takes classes as a student at large. Crenshaw, a sophomore, is the youngest participant. He is a recipient of the 2009 Social Justice Award, together with Abubeker and Christoffer. Emily Hoskins is a finalist for a Fulbright Award for her work in Africa.
