Cyberdefense Planning: A cooperative and collaborative challenge in the XXI century

Over the last two decades, the Internet and more broadly cyberspace has had a tremendous impact on all sections of society. ICT has become the backbone of our economic growth, representing a critical resource relied upon by all economic sectors. It now underpins the complex systems which keep our economies running in key sectors such as finance, health, energy and transport. The protection of the cyberspace domain is complex and requires international cooperative and collaborative actions in order to successfully attain an acceptable level of security on a global level. Therefore, Defence Planning and especially within international organizations, has become as a crucial tool enabling member countries to benefit from the political, military and resource advantages of working together.
