Creative Chronicles of the Alphabet

Creative Chronicles of the Alphabet is a fun and fanciful exploration of the letters that make up the alphabet. Each Visual Communication High School student at the Careerline Tech Center in Holland, Michigan used color prisma pencil on black illustration board to illustrate a letter and tell its story. Coloring on black board is challenging. Normally artists draw on a light base and add dark for shadow. Here the students start with a solid black base and build their art incorporating the already dark value. It is like drawing backwards! All profits from the book sales go into a scholarship fund for the Visual Communication students. We hope you enjoy the book!
