JAUNDICED MOON” (2nd Book of 3) 1968 was the turning point in Vietnam; as the American people began to turn against this war as night after night after night on Network News they saw American kids fighting and dying, in vivid color. This book is not pretty. It describes the heart and soul of the Vietnam combat experience. The author, a Marine Captain, served in the Field with the Korean Marines in operations with the USMC just to the south and west of Danang in 1968. His experience details how war works and how useless and futile war can be in a foreign country. There is no way you can win it; no way to achieve “Victory” over people who don’t like you; who will fight you to the death, for they have no where else to go. How do you win a war like that? You can’t...and we didn't.
