Mammoth Obsequious

Mammoth Obsequious is a comic novel set in the last term of the Thatcher government. When his father, Tort, is kidnapped by two men disguised as soldiers, Alexander calls on some friends to help him search for him. They go on an adventure to find him. Some of his friends turn against him and each other, when they discover why Tort was kidnapped, wanting it for themselves. This leads to a truce and an uneasy deal being made between them, which is shattered at the last moment by a revelation.
