Life grew dark in the mountains of Virginia. Little did the Landers family know when they moved into a tiny house up Lazarus Branch that something lived in the night. Haunted by eerie scratching sounds as darkness descended, the elder Landers girls found little comfort in the dark confines of their crowded bedroom. Then, when the night became hungry and began to take family members into the pervading darkness, Jayda and Lulie became determined to discover the mystery of Lazarus Branch. The teens struggled to unravel the dark secrecy before the night also took them. Soon, in the deeper darkness of an abandoned coal mine, they discovered a secret too dark to imagine.
