The Ever War: The Bad Lands

This is the first novel in the Weapon Mythos from the Ever War saga, an action and adventure Fantasy series. Seven young men have been drafted into military service, but even the trip from their hometown to the capital is wrought with deadly threats from the roaming beasts of the realm and invaders from foreign lands. After an attack sends one of the young men into a prolonged rehabilitation the group is behind schedule and off course from their intended destination, Sotom, the capital of the 7th Realm. In their bid to complete their journey they are instead forced to confront a group of marauders and are introduced to the Bad Lands, the lands thought to be the home of lawless murderers and madmen. The group have to hold together in the face of adversity, contend with a world far more dangerous and oppressive than any of them had expected, and discover who they truly are as the first seeds of a greater conflict grow. All while making a destructive impact on everyone they come across.
