Syriac Genius

This is a series of essays about near forgotten Syriac speaking Christians who contributed an extraordinary culture of scientific, linguistic, theological, and diplomatic genius. Generations of Syriac scholars nearly by themselves recovered the Greek wisdom of Galen, Aristotle, and Plato among other writers and works for Arab, Latin, and European cultures. Enormous contributions to math, medicine, and geography could not have been made without them. Western and Eastern cultures depend on the bridge built by Syriac genius.
