The Mahatmas and Their Chelas in India
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831-1891) was the first person in modern times to claim contact with certain Eastern Adepts or Mahatmas (i.e., Morya, Koot Hoomi, Djual Khool, Hilarion, and others). In the opening pages of her first book ISIS UNVEILED (1877), Madame Blavatsky told her readers: “When, years ago, we first travelled over the East…we came into contact with certain men, endowed with such mysterious powers and such profound knowledge that we may truly designate them as the sages of the Orient. To their instructions we lent a ready ear….The work now submitted to public judgment is the fruit of a somewhat intimate acquaintance with [these] Eastern adepts and study of their science….” (Volume I, pp. vi, v.) In the pages of this book, the reader will find the detailed accounts and testimonies by seven Indian members of the early Theosophical Society who met H.P.B.’s Adept Teachers.
