There’s physical pain, like bumping your knee against the bedpost in the middle of the night, worse, your pinky...a definite ouch! We know that there may be a bump, or a bruise, but it will heal. We’ve experienced this, right ladies?! But, what about emotional pain? Mental pain? Psychological pain? A pain that stems from a sexual assault? A rape? The pain that you knew this person.....that you trusted him.....how do we heal from something like this? Will we ever heal? Are we tainted, now....forever? God is The Almighty Healer and Restorer. It’s about me allowing God to turn the huge, gaping wound in the middle of my chest into a beautiful scar...for Him. It’s about telling my story, which brings healing and releases the yoke of bondage from around my neck. It’s about no longer being silent. It’s about being free. It’s about fully trusting God. Being vulnerable can be a scary thing, but it brings so much healing and freedom. God does wonders in those who are willing to be vulnerable to and for Him.
