We've created your new town centre.

We’ve created your new town centre is an investigation into the social, economic and political backdrop to the construction of New Towns. It is a comment on life in the suburbs and the many newly built towns that surround the major cities. My investigation has been focused around three main areas. Two new towns in Bradley Stoke and Emersons Green, both self serving commuter towns on the outskirts of Bristol, and Digby and Sowton, a newly built suburb in my home town of Exeter. We’ve created your new town centre features the findings from the investigation, which includes interviews with current residents of these areas, and various articles and essays which discuss the problems that these areas are faced with.
