Drawing with the Masters helps children gain basic drawing skills that help them draw creatively on their own. Drawing encourages children to take risks and gives them the opportunity to experiment.
Drawing can nurture creativity when the children are given the freedom to complete their drawings independently.
There are no lines to stay within - children are only requested to draw the images they see on the pages, or any other images they can imagine or feel. If children desired to trace images, that’s OK. If they want to fill the entire page with many tiny images, that’s alright. The whole idea of Drawing With Picasso is to allow children to experiment with their pencils, pens, or crayons and spend time with a master artist.
What’s important is for children to have fun and at the same time get a feeling for the shapes they experience. When children draw, they want to
create a likeness of the things they see. With Drawing with Picasso, they can do just that.
