Play Synopsis:
The Tale of Manatee Creek, an original tale celebrating respect for underwater creatures and their environment, uses live actors, puppets and student participation to tell the story of a boy learning the value of ecology.
Manatee Creek is in trouble. Mr. Sharkey has been polluting the water supply, running his fishing boats unsafely, and endangering the various species that make Manatee Creek their home. His nephew, Sam, visiting Mr. Sharkey for the summer, begins to imitate these bad habits. Only through the magic of Manatee Creek and an underwater adventure, can Sam mend his ways and help Mr. Sharkey become a more responsible fisherman.
