The War Department Tablets of Fort Donelson National Battlefield (Field Edition)

This guide provides an insight to the Fort Donelson battlefield utilizing the texts of the fifty-one War Department tablets that are within and without the current National Park boundaries. While several of the tablets are missing, this guide provides the texts to all the tablets, and includes maps to locate the current and previous locations of the tablets. The full texts of the War Department tablets brings context to the actions and movements of the Fort Donelson campaign. This Field Edition is published in trade size (6" by 9") for use while tramping the ground at Fort Donelson National Battlefield. There is a full color map on the back cover showing the locations of the tablets, along with additional maps within the guide.
