About David Bench

Dave Bench has spent most of his adult life working in the healthcare industry. However, he retired in May 2022 to devote more time to writing and music. Dave developed a renewed interest in writing in 2015 after illustrating The New Kid, a children’s book written by his wife, Liesl, in 1996. Yes, he can be a bit of a procrastinator. He has since written and illustrated two other children’s books, Take Me to the Zoo! and Take Me to the Beach! He completed his first novella, Hawking’s Highway, in 2021, and Death in the Shadow of Oberon followed in the summer of 2022.
