The Guff

The Guff had always existed. Contrary to popular belief, amongst the local Cherokee population, who considered it nothing more than a local legend, an urban legend, at best. But there were some locals that knew better. Had dealt with it's power first hand, and knew better than to dismiss it as an old wive's tale spun around campfires after certain members of the town had consumed too much cheap liquor. Had felt it's power. Had seen the demons, the ghosts...all of the lost souls, trapped within it's walls, crying and screaming for salvation. For most, then it was too late to turn back and become a believer. For those who'd been lucky enough to survive their encounter, they would never forget it. It would be part of their life forever. Billy Blackhawk knew all about that feeling.
