eCOLOR BOOK

The inception of Color Book began thirty years ago through the lookinglass of humor dosed with salt. I was watching situations within and around me that were safest to depict as animated characters - we can choose whether or not to identify with these cartoon like characters and any similarities that may exist between them and us. The idea for Color Book comes from how a few of us (not you out there of course) unconsciously choose to fill what represents our personality, just as a child might haphazardly fill color with crayons into a prized book. A quotation from Morris Graves' introduction to Color Book concisely describes my intent for this visual story; "the search of physics says look farther and farther out - the search of metaphysics says search farther and farther in - the hourglass of searching for the answer of from where?, why?, and where to?" Life can start to tug with quite a tangle until a gale wind knocks us down or we turn around and see with a new kind of eye...life's infinite possibilities.
