
This is the story of Dave Peters' 33-year railroad career. Dave worked a variety of jobs at the railroad repair shops in New Haven, CT. Hiring out on the New Haven Railroad in 1961, Dave became a Penn Central employee in 1969 and then worked for Amtrak. During the course of his long career, Dave repaired car wheels, maintained car and locomotive air brake systems, and serviced locomotives.
Dave is a well-known railroad historian, archivist, and collector who has a private "rail road" museum in his home. He lives in Wallingford, CT with his wife Barbara.
