To the best of my knowledge, this is only the second book-length poem to have been written entirely in the Spenserian stanza since The Faerie Queen over four hundred years ago. It tells the tale of a "Rex Resurgent," following Omar Jesus (his second name pronounced in the Spanish way) from imprisonment to kingdom and beyond.
