Every Wind of Doctrine

There is no doubt that we are living at the tail end of the end-times, and we are presently confronted with a generally confused religious situation. There are so many significant present-day cults, unscriptural religious movements, false doctrines, and occult practices; many of these have crept into the body of Christ. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 and many other Scriptures show that these latter times will be characterized by deception, increasing demonic activities, increasing distress, and therefore doctrines that capitalize on the hardships of men. “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with 0every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” (Ephesians 4:14 – KJV). The “winds of doctrines” being propagated are evil teachings of the prince of the power of the air, the god of this world (Eph. 2:2; 2 Cor. 4:4). The “sleight of men” (kubeia in the Greek language, i.e., a cube) refers to a loaded dice against which no man can win because it is an artifice or a fraud. Those who play around with false doctrines cannot win eternal life. “Cunning craftiness” signifies the art, wile, stratagem, subtlety, or method of the devil to destroy souls of men by fallacy, sophistry, or trickery (Mt. 13:19; Eph. 6:11). It refers to the systematization of error and making it such a perfect counterfeit of truth that only those who are experienced in truth can detect. The end result is fraudulence, delusion, and error. One of the obvious benefits of growing and maturing in the faith is that we will be spared from being tossed to and fro by every wind of demonic doctrines. This book “Every Wind of Doctrine” will be a major eye opener for many Christians. The profound truths and revelations contained therein will definitely strengthen the faith and resolve of many brethren to stay on course.
