Captain Scrycher is a walking contradiction; he is not a true Stray- feline humanoid and as such is hated by them and classed as a tainted blood. Yet, is he to be their saviour? He knows his destiny and lives for it, kills for it and may just die for it. Teller is a storyteller of the past, not a prophet of the future, nor does he want to be, yet they have a shared destiny, a shared lineage and a shared fate! With a ship that can barely travel through space, they must find their combined goal, reach across the stars, the planet and finally their enemies to grasp that which the generations before them searched for. Will they both succeed, or will it be over for them in the Blink of an Eye?
