In a Tme of Decadence

In this novel about ancient North American republic sunken into decadence, Chemish, a casino owner, drops his wife for a younger woman. In rage, Chemish's father, Joel, disinherits him over objections of family members, who fear a long, court battle will arise from the disheritance. While consequences await to arise from it, two other sons of Joel seek to save Nephi, their country, from internal and external threats. Hosea, the youngest of Joel's sons, becomes a Priest in hopes of helping to prevent the Nephite civilization from moral collapse. At the same time, Marshal Elisha, Joel's eldest, finds himself fighting a mounting battle against the Nephites' longtime enemies, the Lamanites and Gadianton Robbers, who have pledged to bring Nephi down. "A Time of Decadence" is a novel filled with things which readers will find applicable to today's world
