A true story about a young girl named Gladys and her family, growing up in the foothills of Kentucky during the onset of World War II. A gentle father is teaching his children about life, survival, and the love of God. Tragically they find out how hard life can be. She and her family endure a tragic event that will change their family history for many generations to come.
