Here's a sample recipe to enjoy: Corn Bread: Makes a 10” cast iron skillet, with 6 to 8 slices Oven: 400 F Cast Iron Skillet, well seasoned Ingredients: 1 cup self-rising flour 1 cup yellow cornmeal 1 tablespoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup half and half cream ¼ cup melted butter or margarine ¼ cup honey ¼ cup sugar or agave 2 tablespoons infused chipotle oil or olive oil Cheddar cheese, canned jalapeño’s, black beans, crisp bacon, green onions, etc., all can be added. Cheese would be about 4 ounces, ¼ of a cup peppers of all sorts, ½ cup beans, 4 to 6 strips of cooked bacon, chopped up, ½ cup of chopped green onions, etc. The key to this recipe is to keep the dry from the wet ingredients until you are ready to bake. So your preparation is vital, and also not to over mix when you do incorporate the ingredients. So, make sure your oven is at 400F... to be continued:
