Linkages

“Linkages” opens a window to look back into the year 2000. Week by week, we get glimpses into women's lives through a series of vignettes. It was Y2K, a time when we feared that computers would crash and systems would fail. A time before 9-11, when getting on a plane was a much simpler affair. A time before texting and Facebook and ebooks and Twitter. The journey through the year gives the reader a chance to ponder the passage of time and what it means. So much has changed and yet so much has stayed the same - the technology; the events in the news; the hopes and fears; and everyday life. A thought-provoking voyage.
