About Orange Ruffy and Mom Deb Hoffmann Knowles

Orange Ruffy Warrior Poet had very humble beginnings. Found as a skinny stray, he earned his name by looking rough. His dad named him for a fish found commonly on the Gulf Coast where dad hailed from. Ruffy was taken in and soon, his past was behind him, but he never forgot his humble origins. He soon found that he and Mom Deb built a bond, one that continued when he leapt 'up, up and out'. He writes to shed light on rescue, bring comfort to those who have lost a beloved, and offering a glimpse into the world of the 'Between'. Ruffy remains the magickal Fetch he's always been, and 'FROM THE BETWEEN' is dedicated to all those who have ever loved a cat. Mom Deb Hoffmann Knowles has loved cats since she was a child. She lives with her husband Jim and 20 something rescue cats-some up for adopton, some permanent residents of the 'Ridgewood Clowder' now residing in Bay Minette, Alabama. Writing since she was a child, she has several projects she's working on, including a historical novel and one with vampires who love cats! When not writing, she takes care of her large cat family, likes reading, doing TNR, and taking care of Cat Daddy Jim. FROM THE BETWEEN is dedicated to Cat Rescuers everywhere.
