Sums. Theyre Math Magic

“Sums. They’re Math Magic” is a fun maths book aimed at 9 to 15 year old pupils. Also for their teachers to use when presenting maths problems to their pupils. The author uses fun activities such as: - card tricks to demonstrate algebra, - alien counting where the alien has other than five digits on each “hand”, - measuring square roots with a ruler and compass, - multiplication using your two hands, - who first used binary arithmetic?, - letter sums, - “Japanese” multiplication, - Sums that use geometry, - and lots, lots more, - including fun maths jokes. The author, Derrick Willer, was honoured as a Member Of The British Empire, MBE, By Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2018 which was presented to him by HRH Prince William, Prince Of Wales.
