About DeShaun Johnson

I love writing. From the brevity of book writing to the simplicity of sending a text message, I crave the opportunity to pour words out creatively. Writers are living in the most incredible time. No longer are we restricted to the recognition that only comes with being a book author; the craft has been extended to the mediums of video writing and audio narratives. The heavens have been cracked wide open, reigning in many opportunities. To hell with those still clinging on to the outdated traditional publishing model. "If Penguine-Random House has not knighted your manuscript, you're not a real writer." --Sincerely, The Overtly Romanticized Writer. Fooey. I have been cooking fiction and nonfiction since middle school, taking the craft seriously in college. I'm a writer because I write. Good or bad prose, I am respected because I publish in public, receiving feedback to feed my creativity. There is no waiting on rejection letters. The correction in real time helps me get better faster. I didn't want to use this space to list my hobbies and interests outside of writing. Better, this is a megaphone to proclaim loudly, "THE FUTURE IS NOW!!!" Lulu is a Godsend. Rather than waiting years for approval, I bear the onus of success. I love carrying that weight! If you do not know where to find me, you know now. X: @DeShaunLJohnson YouTube: @DeShaunJohnson https://theteacher.show (mailing list) https://www.deshaunjohnson.com (re-direct to other articles)
