When the world as Cordy Bowers knows it comes to an end she must find the inner strength to survive. With her father and her brothers pregnant fiance she faces the reality of a world where everything and everyone she loves is gone. In the aftermath of a world war like none we have ever seen, a world that has less them 1% of the human population still alive, she finds the love of a good man, Cal Lewis and thinks that maybe she will be okay. When first her brothers girlfriend dies, and then Cal and finally her father also die, she is truely alone. She faces a bleak future until she meets Quinn. A man she falls in love with dispite his secrets. Together they journey across the wasteland that America has become to his home in what was once Texas. There they both have challenges to overcome and Cordy most of all needs to decide if love is enough to overcome old hurts and prejudices.
