In 2020, Heavy Metal editor Joseph Illidge, Comic Beat reporter George Carmona 3rd, and Anyone Comics owner, Dimitrios Fragiskatos seized the momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement brought on by the murder of George Floyd to produce a book called Access Guide to the Black Comic Book Community 2020-21.
While publishers throughout the comic book industry showed solidarity with the BLM movement, this book showed definitively what books were being produced by Black creators, what stores were Black-owned, and which conventions were there for the community.
The book itself was well-received, with articles in Syfy Wire, Publisher's Weekly, and Forbes. The successful launch of the first book prompted a fair in front of Anyone Comics in honor of the creators featured in the book as covered by local news.
The new volume is completed with new features!
