About Dimitris Maramis

Dimitris Maramis is a Greek composer of classical music, theatre and film music, songwriter and a piano performer of his own works. He studied classical piano and composition in Greece and United Kingdom. He did his international debut by performing his cycle of Spanish songs “Ay Amor” with Lina Orfanos in USA (Symphony Space – New York, Cornell University, Montclair Art Museum – New Jersey, Metropolitan Room – New York) and in Madrid. Early chamber works of him have been performed in UK. He has seven personal recordings, he has written music for 37 theatre plays, five movies, etc. He has collaborated with famous singers such as Maria Farantouri and Marios Frangoulis. Also with important directors such as Michael Bogdanov, Stathis Livathinos and actors Nikitas Tsakiroglou, George Kimoulis, Antigoni Valakou, Vera Zavitsianou, e.t.c.
