Written in somewhat satirical form, the Author looks critically at heresies that have invaded church doctrine. Hard focus is given to such twisted contemporary teachings as "Render Unto Caesar," "comfortable Christianity," prosperity doctrine, "Christian Psychology," and "Left Behind" prophetic theology. Bible (per)versions are compared. Bolinger also reviews the Protestant Reformation period's influence on Christianity, and the recent departure of theology away from "Historicist" prophetic insights. He hits hard at churches that have fallen apostate and are not doing the "works" commanded by the Messiah and the Apostles. Bolinger introduces Roman Catholicism as the "Spirit of Maria" -- having invaded Protestant theology with false holidays and Jesuit-inspired Futurist and Preterist views of prophecy. This book is tough medicine for tough times!
