It is estimated that around 149million people are affect by HIV|AIDS within Nigeria up to 3.6 percent of the population have been diagnosed or have died as a result of the HIV|AIDS infection leaving families with young children alone, homeless and themselves also having to live with the possibility of carrying the HIV|AIDS infection. Some of the children are as young five years old are raising their siblings on their own. Struggling to survive and having to cope on their own as the members living within the communities reject them. So far up to 220,000 people have lost their lives in Nigeria alone. Other African countries such as Zambia and South Africa have a much lower death rate than Nigerian population.
