Cantica Evangelica Secundum Cantum Ordinis Praedicatorum

This book contains the Gospel Canticles of Lauds, Vespers, and Compline (the Benedictus, Magnificat, and Nunc Dimittis) set to the music with which they are chanted in the Dominican Order. It also includes the Invitatory Psalm (Ps.94/95) "Venite" set to the Dominican music. As these canticles are difficult to sing and the traditional chant books of the Order give them in awkward forms difficult for most to read, this booklet makes the Latin chant versions of these canticles accessible to beginners in Dominican chant.
