Eryll and the Arbutus

"No-drama" Lenny Page is a young, energetic, newly-elected American governor. Eighteen-year-old Eryll Wray is his recently-discovered natural son, a domestic cuckoo placed into the heart of the American family dream — and, more importantly, into the American democratic model. He is taken into the bosom of the Page family just at the point that Eryll’s mother dies and his previously unknown father is elected to office on a wave of hope and change. Ever-increasing paranoia fuels the youngster's hatred and rejection of the hand of friendship from his new father. As Eryll's outpourings of hate escalate, Governor Page's predilection for professorial detachment and reasonableness faces its greatest challenge.
