This e-book is an overview of forensic psychology and psychotherapy. Portions of this e-book created the course PSY 620/622 Forensic Psychological Assessment at SNHU. Section 1 focuses on the role of the forensic psychotherapist. Section 2 focuses on the issues of forensic consulting, supervision, TF-CBT, child abuse laws, forensic psychological assessments, and DSM diagnoses, Section 3 focuses on investigative psychology, the therapeutic risk and compliance indicator (TRACI), psychosocial factors, risk typologies, excessive communication styles, Tragic hero, Victim, and the Professional criminal narratives. ADDENDA A provides examples of raw psychological test data collection for child abuse, substance abuse, trauma, and mental health issues. ADDENDA B focuses on case conceptualization with Ms. A, Mr. B., Ms. C., Ms. Z., and Mr. X. Students at SNHU and other forensic organizations such as the National Association of Forensic Counselors (NAFC) may find this resource useful in professional development.
