The Namican: A Book of Names and Words for Your Imaginary Settings
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The Namican contains 35,000 words divided into 23 language families, each following a different set of language rules.
The intent of this book is to provide a resource to both writers and gamers. Coming up with a good name may not be very hard, but trying to populate a world, complete with regions, cities, towns, inhabitance, and history is often more difficult. One of the advantages of using the Namican is that it simplifies the process of naming and developing localized languages. While some writers are comfortable making names up, or using names derived from modern or ancient languages, the process can be difficult especially if the writer is attempting to create a rich environment where language and place names are cohesive in order to create a plausible sense of depth and history.
