Renegade Yankees

Renegade Yankees tells the story of the Antinomian spirit prevailing in the northeastern part of the United States from about the 1630s to the early 1800s, which can be traced to the Lollard religious sect in fourteenth and fifteenth-century England. The central thesis of this work is that the Antinomian frame of mind against the law in the Old World manifested itself in radical religious and political traditions that appeared in the New World.
