De Sade: The 120 Days of Sodom

De Sade: The 120 Days of Sodom

ByDonatien Alphonse François Marquis de Sade

Four wealthy Libertines gather in an old castle where they listen to 600 stories told by four old prostitutes while sexually abusing and torturing teenage victims.
The book was written during 37 days of De Sade´s 15 year long imprisonment in the Bastille. Being short on writing materials, he used a 12 meter long roll of paper. Since the French Revolution, the work was said to be lost, but it was rediscovered by the Berlin psychiatrist Iwan Bloch who published it in 1904. Bloch regarded it as having "scientific importance...to doctors, jurists, and anthropologists."
This classic piece of literature is now available for download as an E-Book in PDF-Format.
