With this initial edition of SEELSORGER, DOXOLOGY signals a new way forward through the uncertain times in which the church finds itself in the turbulence of late modernity. Global terrorism and violence at home threaten physical security while the rapid collapse of sexual and familial vocations undermine domestic life in unprecedented ways. Meanwhile souls are increasingly distressed and oppressed with both guilt and shame. Yet there is hope in Christ in the midst of this chaotic upheaval: through the pastors of His church He personally cares for His lambs and sheep. The Fellows of the DOXOLOGY Collegium seek to explore the practical dimensions of the classic soul care tradition for the troubling complexities of our age.
