Diverse Educators Contributions to Equitable Education
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This article examined the need for a diverse educator force in schools, which has been making headlines across the United States. The absence of diverse educators in schools has a detrimental effect on the academic and social success of students of color. According to the research, promoting a racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse educator workforce in schools is essential for closing inequitable disparity between minority students and their White counterparts. Diverse educator forces provide numerous benefits to students, teachers, and school staff. This requires brave educational leaders to hire more educators of color, including administrators of color. Thus, diversifying the educator workforce will require collaborative efforts from all local, state, and federal government agencies to help schools recruit more diverse educators.
